Farm Assistant (Multiple Roles) - Ngatea

Pouarua Farms, located near Ngatea on the Hauraki Plains, is recruiting multiple Farm Assistants across its contiguous farming operation. These roles offer a strong mix of lifestyle and structure — close to town, central to Auckland/Hamilton/Tauranga/Coromandel, with good rosters, a great package, and clear support on-farm. Pouarua Farms is an investment by five Hauraki Iwi, with a long-term vision for prosperity, sustainability, and people development. The focus is on doing the basics exceptionally well — animal care, pasture and farm presentation, safe work, and consistent systems — while providing genuine opportunities for training and progression. There positions are available over multiple farms in a range of sizes from 400 – 650 cows, in either herringbone or rotary cowsheds. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the care tasks of milking and cowshed hygiene. Operating farm machinery and vehicles safely and efficiently. Monitoring the health and well-being of their cows. Assisting with day-to-day farm tasks, including feeding, cleaning, and maintenance. The Opportunity: Reporting directly to a Farm Manager, the roles offer a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant and forward-thinking farming environment. Two farms proudly supplying Lewis Road Creamery with a full A2 jersey herd, while the other farm maintains Lead with Pride Gold Plus status.
