Job Description

Role Summary Permanent 0.4 FTE position (32 hours per fortnight) covering ECT, MHSOP liaison and acute MHSOP presentations to the Emergency Department/Assessment Planning Unit within the Mental Health Services for Older People team. Based in Tauranga, services across the Bay of Plenty region. Key Responsibilities Deliver ECT services. Provide liaison within MHSOP and manage acute MHSOP presentations to the Emergency Department and Assessment Planning Unit. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising nurses, social workers, occupational therapists and psychologists. Qualifications & Experience Vocationally Registered Psychiatrist with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligibility to register. Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or an equivalent qualification. Experience working with older adults or in a related clinical area.
