Job Description
Are you an experienced nursing academic with expertise in applied science and a passion for teaching, research, and student success? Do you want to contribute to the development of future nurses through innovative education, research, and strong clinical partnerships? As Senior Lecturer in Nursing you will contribute significantly to teaching, research, postgraduate supervision, and service within the School of Nursing and Midwifery. You will deliver research-informed teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes, contribute to curriculum development and paper leadership, and supervise honours, master's, and doctoral students. The role also involves fostering inter-professional collaboration, building research partnerships, and contributing to the School's strategic goals and academic leadership. You will maintain an active research programme, contribute to scholarly publications and conference presentations, and support the advancement of nursing knowledge and practice through high-quality research and engagement. This is a permanent, full-time role based at our Hamilton campus. Salary will be in the range of $113,428 to $132,042 per year , depending on the skills, knowledge, and experience you bring to the role. You will hold a PhD, and/or equivalent scholarly accreditation and professional standing with a focus on Applied Science. You will also hold a current Annual Practising Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of New Zealand. You will bring: Demonstrated excellence in tertiary teaching and student supervision. A strong and developing research profile with evidence of scholarly outputs. Experience contributing to curriculum development and innovative teaching approaches, including blended and online learning. The ability to build productive relationships with healthcare providers, clinical placement partners, and other stakeholders. Experience fostering inter-professional collaboration and working effectively across multidisciplinary environments. Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring capabilities.
