Job Description
About the Role We are seeking skilled and reliable Carpenters to join established construction teams across New Zealand. These roles involve a mix of residential, commercial, and civil carpentry work, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and high‑quality workmanship. Successful candidates must be confident working independently and as part of a crew, following plans, and delivering work to NZ building standards. Key Responsibilities Perform all aspects of carpentry including framing, formwork, finishing, and fit‑out Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications Install doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry, and structural components Carry out concrete formwork, boxing, and shuttering Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently Assist with site preparation, measurements, and layout Work collaboratively with builders, site managers, and other trades Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment Follow all NZ health and safety requirements and site protocols Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Carpenter (residential, commercial, or civil) Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials Ability to read and interpret building plans Experience with framing, formwork, finishing, and general construction Good understanding of site safety and safe work practices Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Preferred (Not Mandatory) NZ experience or exposure to NZ building standards Experience with concrete formwork and structural carpentry Ability to operate site machinery (e.g., nail guns, saws, drills) Full drivers licence What Were Looking For Reliable, hardworking, and safety‑focused individuals Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt to different job sites and tasks Commitment to high‑quality workmanship Additional Requirements Must pass pre‑employment checks (medical, drug/alcohol, police vetting if required) Must be eligible to work in New Zealand #J-18808-Ljbffr
