Our client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their growing team in Queenstown. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you'll take ownership of a significant construction project, overseeing the day-to-day delivery on site from start to finish. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll coordinate trades, manage programme timeframes, maintain quality standards, and ensure a safe and productive work environment. About The Role As Site Manager, you'll be the key person on the ground, overseeing the daily operations of a major construction project. Working closely with the Project Manager, you'll coordinate site activities, manage subcontractors, monitor progress against programme, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to build positive working relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and your site team. You'll lead by example, proactively solve problems, and take pride in delivering a successful project from commencement through to completion. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise all onsite construction activities Work closely with the Project Manager to deliver the project on time and within budget Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and day-to-day site operations Monitor programme deadlines and manage workflow across the site Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders Ensure high standards of workmanship, productivity, and quality control Actively promote and maintain a safety-first culture across the site Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and company procedures What We're Looking For Trade qualified carpenter with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in New Zealand Previous experience leading commercial or residential construction projects LBP registration advantageous but not essential Strong leadership and team-oriented mindset Helpful, respectful, and approachable Solid written and verbal communication skills Confident using an iPad and digital job management systems Physically fit with a positive, can-do attitude What's on Offer Supportive team environment within a genuinely people-focused business Ongoing investment in your growth, with real opportunities for career progression Competitive remuneration package including laptop, phone, and work vehicle Opportunity to take ownership of a significant project in one of New Zealand's most desirable locations #J-18808-Ljbffr
