This position is based at Whakatāne Hospital with a commitment to supporting services across the Bay of Plenty.Whakatāne Hospital provides comprehensive acute and planned (elective) surgical services to the Bay of Plenty population. You will work within a team of four General Surgeons, supported by a Surgical MOSS and two Surgical Registrars, including a SET Registrar, in a collegial and well-supported regional service.For more information on living and working in the Bay of Plenty click here**About You**We are looking for a specialist who would like an opportunity to work with the team, as a generalist and within their subspecialty, while also providing acute and planned care services, teaching, mentoring junior teams, as well as undertaking administrative responsibilities. A special interest in breast and thyroid surgery is desirable as is competency in endoscopy.
