Machine Operator - Extrusion & Packaging (24/7 Shifts)

About theRole: Our clientis a leading packaging solutions companybased inHornby. A new role has arisen to join their teamwherebyyouwill workin a shift team as a Machine Operator with Heavy Duty Printers.You willbe responsible formonitoring machine output, ensuring the products meet client specifications and all products are completed to a high standard of quality. This role does require some heavylifting,so it is required that youarephysically fit.You will attend a full site induction and food safety course, as well as full training on SOPsand you will have the opportunity to progress through the levels – this is encouraged. The current hours available are: The shifts rotate over 24 hours7am – 7pm or 7pm – 7am You must be available to do all the shifts – night,dayand weekends. Overtimeis paidat time and a half after 8 hours to 11hours Overtime is paid at double time after 11 hours so 1 hour per day Time and a half for the first 3 hours on a Saturday then double time Sunday is 5 hours of double time and 7 hours at base rate (through to Monday) The main duties include: Maintain continuous operation ofextrusionmachines Help the experienced Operator’s in setting up materials and machinery Maintainoptimummachine output in line with the production plan All scrap ismonitoredand minimised where possible Strive to upskill and nominate areas for potential improvement Skills & Requirements: Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills; as well as good mechanical understanding Ideally you have come from a background operating machinery in a factory environment Reliable transport to get yourself to and from work Possess a keen and positive attitude and can easily adapt and learn new systems Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and have no criminal convictions Physically fit and able to do some heavy lifting #J-18808-Ljbffr
