Data Analyst

Job Overview We are seeking a Data Analyst to join an Auckland-based cooperative team. The role involves transforming complex datasets into actionable insights for external clients and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Partner with sales and consulting teams to deliver accurate customer and geospatial analytics products. Analyze datasets using Python and SQL to identify trends, patterns, and business insights. Support the creation of tailored reports, dashboards, and data visualisations to enable informed decision‑making. Engage with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, communicating findings through compelling data storytelling. Assist in maintaining data quality, workflows, and underlying spatial or customer datasets. Required Skills and Experience Commercial experience as a data analyst (2–5 years), with proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel for analytical scripts and queries. Effective communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations and present data clearly. Practical experience with data visualisation tools to build accessible dashboards and reports. A strong analytical, problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous learning and teamwork. Exposure to geospatial data modelling or mapping applications (e.g., Esri/ArcGIS) is highly advantageous but not mandatory. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
