About the Role Step into a dynamic Allied Health environment in this part‑time role that has been established in alignment with a national initiative to strengthen Allied involvement in Intensive Care Units. As the Occupational Therapist working within our ICU at Tauranga Hospital, you will support a broad range of patients, including those recovering from traumatic brain injury, stroke, frailty, and other acute medical conditions. Working across a Monday to Sunday roster (weekend cover will be considered), you will be based in a high‑acuity environment and supported by the Occupational Therapy Team Lead. You will also collaborate with Allied Health clinical leads, senior medical and nursing staff to deliver timely, patient‑focused care that enhances outcomes and supports safe transitioning planning. The multidisciplinary team works closely across hospital and community interfaces, aligning with the All-One-Team values that define our mahi. You are an experienced Occupational Therapist with a calm presence, strong clinical reasoning, and a passion for supporting patients in acute settings. You will enjoy working as part of an interdisciplinary team and take pride in contributing to new service development and innovation to in care delivery.
