Job Description
HR Systems and Reporting Analyst – Part‑time, Auckland Customhouse Salary: $96,000 – $110,000 (dependent on skills and experience). Hours: 20 per week. 3 extra Customs service leave days. Overview The HR Systems and Reporting Analyst reports to the Team Leader HRIS Payroll and Reporting. The role involves completing all aspects of HR‑related reporting and analysis for internal & external customers and supporting key HR systems and payroll functions. Responsibilities Generate and analyse HR reports for internal & external stakeholders. Manage and support key HR systems. Assist payroll functions with reporting and data needs. Identify improvement opportunities and implement changes. Qualifications Background in HRIS, payroll and data analytics, ideally in central government or a relevant business environment. Advanced Excel skills; experience writing SQL select queries, PowerBI reporting, and VBA macros. Demonstrated ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement customer‑focused changes. Commitment to service excellence through continuous improvement and innovation. Approachable, open operating style with a can‑do attitude. Strong understanding of Customs operational delivery and alignment of advice/support/services. Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, including risk management. Capable of working independently, managing time, prioritizing activities and planning projects.
