In this hands-on teaching role, you’ll deliver practical and theory-based electrical training aligned with current industry standards, supporting apprentices and learners on their pathway to EWRB registration. This is a great opportunity for an experienced electrician looking to give back to the industry and help shape the future workforce. Don’t have teaching experience? No worries, we offer support to gain your level 5 teaching qualification, free of charge, while you work! A qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field, preference given to those with a Level 4 National or New Zealand Certificate, or an Advanced Trade Certificate. Current hands-on experience and knowledge as an electrician. Strong practical experience in the electrical industry, with recent experience working in the trade. Good time management skills, with the ability to plan, organise, coordinate activities, and meet deadlines. Willingness to participate in assessment and feedback processes. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people both inside and outside the organisation. Passion for the electrical trade and a desire to improve industry practices or support the next generation through education and training.
