Job Description
Work for a top‑notch brand in the government space. Initial 6‑month hourly contract. Flexible & hybrid (ideally 3 days from the office). Auckland CBD based. Immediate joining. Hourly rate: $125–$135, negotiable for the right candidate. Role Overview Reporting to the Head of Engineering/Development, the candidate will be part of the Build and Natural Water Resources division, working on waste management projects. Responsibilities Develop, customize, and support SAP applications to meet business requirements and enhance system functionality. Collaborate with functional teams to analyze requirements, design technical solutions, and ensure seamless integration across SAP modules. Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization while maintaining high‑quality coding standards and documentation. Qualifications & Key Skills Extensive experience with ABAP (including Object‑Oriented ABAP) in enterprise SAP environments, including SAP CRM and S/4HANA. Hands‑on experience with RAP and SAP BTP based extensions. Experience with ABAP Cloud development model and extensibility concepts. Strong expertise with SAP Fiori / SAPUI5 and OData services. Experience with SAP HANA platform development, including AMDP and SQLScript. Solid SAP integration experience (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, REST/SOAP APIs). Commitment to code quality, including standards, code reviews and test‑driven development (TDD). Performance tuning, debugging, and adherence to SAP development best practices. Good functional understanding of core SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD). Ability to lead technical design, conduct code reviews, and mentor developers. Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments. (Nice to have) Experience with Neptune DXP, SAP Integration Suite / PI/PO exposure.
