Our goal is to provide responsive, person‑centred care to people living with life‑limiting illnesses—often in the comfort of their own homes, as well as in our welcoming inpatient unit in Te Puna for those who need extra support. We’re looking for a motivated and relationship‑focused Donor Care & Conversion Lead to deliver exceptional supporter experiences while growing and strengthening our donor community. Description About The Job: This role is at the heart of our fundraising success—combining donor care, relationship building, and growth. As the Donor Care & Conversion Lead, you will: Deliver outstanding, empathetic donor care to our supporters Build relationships that turn first‑time supporters into long‑term donors Grow regular giving, retention, and supporter engagement through calls, follow‑ups, and delivering targeted campaigns Use insights to continuously improve how we engage with our community You’ll play a key role in maximising fundraising income whilst ensuring every supporter feels valued, connected, and inspired to continue their journey with Waipuna Hospice. Qualifications & Skills About You: You’re someone who brings both heart and results—balancing exceptional customer care with a strong focus on outcomes. You will bring: Proven experience (3+ years) in donor care, customer service, sales, or relationship management Confidence in phone‑based engagement, with the ability to influence and convert Demonstrated success achieving targets related to conversion, retention, or revenue Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment High attention to detail and experience working with CRM/database systems What would also be beneficial: Experience in fundraising, not‑for‑profit, or healthcare environments Knowledge of donor stewardship, supporter journeys, and campaign delivery Experience growing regular giving or retention programmes What We Offer A fun, friendly and supportive team environment Excellent working conditions Staff wellness programmes because we care about our people Ongoing professional development opportunity (we want you to grow) A competitive remuneration package Discounts to local dentists, pharmacies, and health insurance Free onsite parking About Us Our Purpose: To champion equitable end‑of‑life care for our communities.
