We're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse Manager to lead a unique 5-bed transitional rehabilitation home supporting adults with spinal cord injuries (SCI). What You'll Be Doing Lead Clinical Excellence: Deliver and oversee high-quality care across respiratory support, wound care, medication management, pressure injury prevention, and more. Drive audits, compliance, and continuous improvement. Grow & Support Your Team: Lead recruitment, rostering, coaching, and performance development in a positive, learning-focused environment. Champion Person-Centred Care: Promote dignity, autonomy, and strong safeguarding practices for all residents. Oversee Operations & Safety: Manage day-to-day service delivery, resources, risk, and compliance with health standards. Build Strong Relationships: Work closely with residents, whānau, clinicians, and key stakeholders. Provide On-Call Leadership: Participate in an after-hours on-call roster. What You'll Bring Registered Nurse with current APC NZ working rights (no sponsorship available) 3-5+ years experience in complex disability, rehabilitation, community care, or SCI Strong clinical expertise (wound care, IPC, medication management, emergency response) 2+ years proven leadership experience (rostering, supervision, coaching, performance management) Excellent communication and cultural competence Confident using electronic systems and Microsoft 365 Calm, organised, and able to lead under pressure Advanced SCI knowledge (autonomic dysreflexia, bowel/bladder care, transfers, assistive tech) Experience with SPC, PEG feeding, stoma and complex wound care Training and competency assessment experience Desired Skills and Experience Registered Nurse with a current APC and NZ working rights. 3-5+ years experience in rehabilitation, complex disability, community care, or spinal injury Strong clinical capability in areas such as wound care, medication management, IPC, and emergency response Minimum 2+ years proven leadership experience including rostering, coaching, and performance management Confident communicator with a culturally responsive, person-centred approach Able to lead calmly under pressure, with strong organisational and problem‑solving skills Desirable: Experience in spinal cord injury care, including bowel/bladder management, autonomic dysreflexia, and complex care procedures (e.g. PEG, SPC, stoma care).
