Registered Nurse – Tiaho Mai, Mental Health & Addictions Opportunity to make an impact on the health of our community in Counties Manukau. This full‑time permanent position at Middlemore Hospital offers rostered shifts and a chance to provide acute adult mental health care. About the role Tiaho Mai is the acute adult mental health inpatient unit situated on the grounds of Middlemore Hospital. The service provides care for people from Otahuhu to Mercer, coast to coast, including Kaiaua and Port Waikato, who are admitted into a hospital setting with mental‑health challenges during a crisis. Key responsibilities and environment The team is committed to multidisciplinary, trauma‑informed, culturally responsive and evidence‑based care. You will work across our high‑dependency and low‑dependency wards, providing effective acute inpatient treatment, reflecting recovery principles, and incorporating patient‑centred carer support whilst maintaining a safe environment. Essential requirements NZ Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current APC Minimum 2+ years post‑registration experience within Mental Health Extensive knowledge of mental illness and treatment interventions Full and clean NZ Driver’s Licence If you are enthusiastic about advancing your career in mental health and making a difference in our community, we want to hear from you!
