Support Worker - Complex Client - Blenheim Florence Nightingale Agency is seeking support workers to provide care for our serious injury clients. We are looking for motivated, compassionate, empathetic individuals to support our clients to live their best life. We are seeking experienced, compassionate Support Workers to join a new and dedicated care team supporting a 13‑year‑old boy with complex medical needs in his family home in Blenheim. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a highly supportive, family‑centred care environment, working closely alongside the client’s family and clinical team. About the Role You will be providing daytime or overnight (wakeover) support, ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of the client while maintaining a calm and respectful home environment. Overnight responsibilities include Discreet supervision of a young person with a tracheostomy (trach tube) Monitoring and alerting family if the trach becomes dislodged (no handling of trach required) Assisting with toileting and repositioning as needed during the night Undertaking quiet household tasks to support the wider family We are looking for Support Workers who are Experienced in complex care or confident working with clinical support needs Mature, professional, and highly discreet, with sensitivity to complex family dynamics Flexible and willing to work across a rotating 7-day roster Collaborative, able to work closely with family and healthcare professionals Open to learning and development – full training will be provided by the client’s medical team, including hospital-based training prior to discharge Relevant qualifications (Level 2–4) Perferred— the right attitude, experience, and willingness to learn are key.
