Job Description

Role We are looking for a psychologist to join a close‑knit, community‑focused team in Taupō that supports children and young people with learning support needs. The role is permanent, full‑time. Responsibilities Identify patterns or contributing factors influencing learning, wellbeing and behaviour to enhance inclusive practices in early learning services, schools and other educational settings. Provide professional support and guidance to schools, teachers and families to build capacity in supporting learners. Deliver specialist assessment and analysis for evidence‑informed interventions in complex cases. Work collaboratively within a trans‑disciplinary team where a child's needs are complex. Qualifications and Experience Master's level tertiary qualification and a postgraduate diploma in Educational Psychology or equivalent. Registration as a NewZealand psychologist under the Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act with a current practising certificate. Ability to translate specialist knowledge into practical information and to co‑ordinate service provision within multi‑agency, trans‑disciplinary settings. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with learners, families and teachers across diverse settings. Knowledge of the principles of TeTiritioWaitangi and tangata whenua. Full driver licence, willingness to travel, and adherence to the Public Service Standards. Location and Salary Based at our Taupō office, providing a fantastic lifestyle and work‑life balance. Salary range: $85,416 – $126,000 per annum plus KiwiSaver. #J-18808-Ljbffr
