We are looking for Test Engineers/Analysts with a practical, tinkering mindset to join our specialist Computer Network Operations (CNO) Research & Development team. Our CNO Test function sits alongside the CNO DevOps Engineers and goes beyond traditional testing – it provides the hardware‑centric, automation‑driven validation that underpins the full lifecycle of the GCSB's CNO capabilities, a critical enabler of the agency's intelligence mission. In this role, you will work hand‑in‑hand with CNO R&D Engineers, Developers, infrastructure and operations, to design, build and execute repeatable test campaigns at speed and scale. Together with DevOps, you will share ownership of the automation frameworks and test rigs to keep the CNO environment reliable, secure and ready for rapid capability evolution, while feeding verified results into the release and deployment process. You must: Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years OR Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
