Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District, NZ Description We're seeking an enthusiastic Consultant General Medicine Physicians to join our Hutt Hospital team. We're looking for a general physicians, and can accommodate most medical subspecialties for those who are dual trained. We also have a positions available on our Stroke team for those who are interested in working across both services. Our service provides a consistently high standard of medical care to patients in inpatient, outpatient, virtual and community settings. The team is dynamic and forward thinking, embracing new ideas and working across services to provide the best outcomes for our patients. We have an inpatient Cardiology team on-site, 24/7 virtual telestroke service, and on-site physicians specialising in respiratory, infectious disease, endocrine, gastroenterology, rheumatology, and geriatric medicine. Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley district is located centrally in Wellington and has over 6,000 full-time equivalent staff, making us one of the major employers in the Wellington region. We operate three hospitals – Wellington Regional Hospital in Newtown, Hutt Valley Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital in Porirua – as well as the Kāpiti Health Centre at Paraparaumu.
