Anaesthetic Technician

Position Summary We are looking for an Anaesthetic Technician to join us at Mercy Hospital; in this role you will be an integral part of the team making a valuable contribution towards the safe delivery of Anaesthesia for a wide range of procedures. Responsibilities Provide professional, technical and clinical assistance to Anaesthetists. Provide safe administration of anaesthesia to patients. Anticipate problems and provide exceptional patient care. Co-ordinate documentation to ensure the patient receives effective care. Participation in quality improvement processes and activities. Position Details This is a permanent, part time (0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week) position. Hours to be worked on a Monday to Friday roster. Skills and Experience Hold registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate. Demonstrate sound professional judgement and an ability to practice in a culturally safe manner. Confidence to build successful working relationships with those around you, the ability to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team environment. Exceptional attention to detail.
