About the Role Te Awakura (Adult Inpatient Group) is a 64-bed adult inpatient unit that provides 24hr care to consumers experiencing acute mental illness. There are four wards that form Te Awakura: North, East, South and West, and represent the four quadrants of Christchurch. Responsibilities Basic consumer care Assisting the clinical team with a variety of tasks Ensuring that our consumers have the best experience possible Taking consumers on outings within the motu Skills and Experience Kind and caring nature High levels of confidentiality Ability to build relationships with people from all walks of life Previous experience in Mental Health or similar role is desirable but not essential A full NZ Drivers licence Health and Wellbeing Certificate desirable We welcome applications from our diverse Māori, Pacific, disabled, and rainbow communities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
