Job Description

About the role Most farmers who'd love Halter have never heard of it. This role exists to change that - at scale. You own Halter's paid social globally. This is the broad-reach demand seat: your job is to put the right creative in front of the right farmers, generate qualified leads at an efficient cost, and keep scaling what works. You own the Meta ad account end-to-end, and you'll lead our expansion into emerging paid social channels - TikTok, paid YouTube, and programmatic platforms like StackAdapt as they become relevant. You don't just buy media. You drive the creative testing roadmap, working with the Brand and Regional teams to get static and video that actually converts, and you know that on social the creative is the targeting. You'll live in the differences between dairy and beef, North and South Island, the Great Plains and the West - because what works for one segment falls flat for another. You report to the Performance Marketing Lead and own your channel's contribution to the team's lead and pipeline targets. You'll do it with AI as a core tool. Creative analysis, audience research, reporting, and rapid iteration - we expect you to use AI to test more, learn faster, and sharpen every output. What we're looking for We don't care where you've come from. What matters is that you've run paid social against a real lead or revenue target and made it work - not just managed spend. You're a creative-first media buyer. You understand that on Meta the winning lever is the creative, and you can brief, test, and read creative performance better than most. You can build and manage an audience and creative strategy that flexes across markets and customer types, and you know when a regional difference is signal versus noise. You're fluent in CPL, CAC, and the full path from impression to qualified lead, and you can defend your cost per outcome and your budget within a broader allocation. What your day could look like Reviewing ad-level performance across NZ, AU, and US Meta campaigns - cutting the losers, scaling the winners. Briefing the Brand team on the next round of video tests, grounded in what the data says is resonating for different types of farmers across different markets. Standing up a test campaign on a new channel - TikTok or YouTube - to see whether it can deliver leads at a cost that works. Digging into a region where CPL has crept up, diagnosing whether it's creative fatigue, audience saturation, or a landing-page problem - and partnering with the CRO owner on the fix. Reconciling your lead numbers with the Performance Marketing Lead and making the case for more budget where the returns are strongest. Pulling together a creative performance readout that tells the team what's working, what's tired, and what to make next. You'll crush this role if you Own a channel and its number. You're accountable for paid social's leads and cost efficiency across three markets, and you treat that target as yours. Live and breathe creative. You know that great paid social is won and lost on the creative, and you can brief, test, and learn faster than the competition. Test relentlessly. You're always running the next experiment, and you kill what doesn't work without sentiment. Read the full funnel. You don't stop at the click - you care about lead quality, and you work with the website owner and RevOps to understand both. See AI as a core work tool. You've already built it into how you operate and you're faster because of it. Bonus points if You've scaled paid social in a high-growth SaaS, hardware, or ag-tech business. You've run paid social across multiple markets and understand how creative and messaging need to flex by region. You've launched and scaled a new paid social channel from zero. You've worked closely with creative teams to build a high-velocity testing engine. Our Benefits Delicious snacks and drinks are available for your daily flow. Healthy body, healthy mind. We're partnered with Southern Cross Health Insurance to support your well-being. We offer 6 months of fully paid parental leave for primary caregivers, 4 weeks of fully paid secondary caregiver leave and many other parental benefits that support you and your family. Our personal growth is important. Halter offers an annual $1000 self-development budget to be used for anything that fuels personal growth. Our time to recharge is valued, we're offered wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave. Importantly, we offer an inclusive and attractive remuneration package made up of salary, benefits and an employee stock ownership plan. Diversity and Inclusion Halter is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace — a place where we can each be ourselves and do the best work of our lives. Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the requirements, women and under‑represented groups of candidates tend to only apply when they meet every requirement. If you think you have what it takes but don’t necessarily tick every requirement on this job description, please still get in touch and apply to Halter. #J-18808-Ljbffr
