About the Role This is a permanent, full‑time Core Dietitian position (1.0FTE/40hrs per week) based at Auckland City Hospital. The role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of wards and the outpatient setting. Work in partnership with patients and their whānau to provide nutrition assessment and education. Develop and progress clinical skills in the comprehensive management of medical patients. Make positive contributions to patient care within the Nutrition and Dietetics team while ensuring a thorough clinical reasoning process. Optimize patient experience using excellent interpersonal communication skills. Implement individual intervention and monitoring plans tailored to client needs. Collaborate with team members and other work groups to achieve service objectives. Develop positive relationships with clients/patients and their whānau/family. About the Team / Service / Location The Clinical Support Services Dietetic team consists of 29.8FTEs, working across both inpatient and outpatient settings. Team members are passionate and supportive dietitians dedicated to advocating for patients and enhancing nutrition‑related outcomes within the community. Qualifications & Skills New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practicing Certificate and prescribing endorsement. Passion for working in a variety of clinical settings. Ideally at least two years of postgraduate experience. Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence. Strong connector of people and ideas. Understanding of bicultural issues and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting. Effective time management, flexibility, prioritisation and organisational skills. Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
