As a Pursuits and Proposals Manager within our Markets team, you'll play a critical role in helping PwC win and grow key client engagements. Working alongside partners, directors, and pursuit teams across the firm, you'll lead complex proposal and bid processes from qualification through to submission and debrief. You’ll combine strategic thinking, project management excellence, and compelling storytelling to help our teams bring their best ideas to market and deliver differentiated client solutions. This is a full‑time, fixed‑term contract role providing parental leave cover for a 6‑month period in Auckland . Responsibilities Managing the end‑to‑end proposal and pursuit lifecycle, including go/no‑go decisions, pursuit strategy workshops, bid planning, content development, submission management, and post‑bid reviews Facilitating pursuit team workshops to develop winning strategies, value propositions, and compelling win themes aligned to client needs Coaching senior stakeholders and pursuit teams to create client‑focused, persuasive proposals, presentations, and pitch materials Providing bid management expertise, including drafting, editing, reviewing, and refining content to ensure high‑quality, differentiated responses Driving bid governance, timelines, and stakeholder coordination across multiple complex opportunities simultaneously Championing PwC's brand, visual identity, and tone of voice across proposal and presentation materials Managing tender monitoring processes and helping direct opportunities to the appropriate subject matter experts and business development teams Maintaining and enhancing bid resources, knowledge libraries, and proposal best practices across the firm Supporting the evolution of bid processes and tools, including integration with Salesforce and leveraging emerging technologies such as A.I. to improve pursuit effectiveness Collaborating with global PwC bid management teams to share insights, innovations, and leading practices Qualifications 7+ years’ experience leading and managing complex bids, proposals, and pursuit processes within a professional services or B2B environment Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, workstreams, and deadlines Proven ability to develop compelling client‑focused value propositions, proposal content, and presentation materials Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing and coaching senior leaders A collaborative, solutions‑focused approach, with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive successful outcomes in a fast‑paced environment Benefits Rewards – Discretionary bonus opportunities; generous referral bonuses; retail discounts & deals Growth – Global network; leadership development; A.I. tools and training; formal learning pathways Wellbeing – $250 annual wellbeing allowance; Life & Income protection; Sonder/EAP/Headspace; 15 days’ paid sick leave; group‑rate health insurance (eligibility applies) Reputation – PwC is known for shaping tomorrow.
