About the Role Te Whare Manaaki is a medium secure forensic mental health unit providing specialist care within a dynamic and rewarding environment. We are seeking motivated and compassionate Registered and Enrolled nurses to join our cohesive multi‑disciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your clinical expertise, enthusiasm, and professionalism within a service focused on recovery, rehabilitation, and supporting tāngata whaiora to achieve their goals. Key Responsibilities Deliver high‑quality mental health nursing care within a forensic setting Build therapeutic, supportive, and empowering relationships with tāngata whaiora and whānau Work collaboratively within a skilled multi‑disciplinary team Support individuals to identify strengths, enhance wellbeing, and achieve personal aspirations Case‑manage tāngata whaiora within a recovery‑focused model of care About You You will be a resilient, adaptable, and compassionate Registered Nurse with a genuine passion for mental health nursing and recovery‑focused practice. Qualifications and Experience Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current APC with a Mental Health scope of practice Previous mental health nursing experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team Strong time management and organisational skills Current full New Zealand driver licence Flexibility to work across a rotating roster and all shifts Additional Information We pride ourselves on working in partnership with tāngata whaiora and whānau and fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, and support.
