Job Description

Court Victim Advisor Te Haeata This is a permanent, full‑time position based at the Manukau District Court. It is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and adaptable person with specialist knowledge, skills and experience to assist victims of crime through the court process. You will keep victims updated on the progress of their case and help them participate effectively in the Criminal Justice System. Responsibilities Demonstrate resilience when working with people Maintain a calm nature and relate effectively to people Enjoy the challenges of working with stakeholders and victims affected by serious crime, primarily family violence Keep victims updated on case progress and facilitate their participation in the Criminal Justice System About Te Tāhū o te Ture At Te Tāhū o te Ture – the Ministry of Justice – we are committed to strengthening people's trust in the law of Aotearoa, New Zealand. You will be part of the South Auckland team of Court Victim Advisors based at the Manukau District Court. Skills and Experience Confident communicator with sound judgment Strong abilities in creating and maintaining effective relationships Multi‑cultural awareness and competencies to work with victims and their whanau from diverse backgrounds Relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in the family violence sector (desirable) Salary Remuneration band: $74,634 to $100,846.
