About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi As the Payroll Transformation Lead, you will provide senior payroll subject matter expertise within a major payroll system replacement programme. You will lead payroll input into business design, data, and testing activities, working with programme and implementation partners to deliver a future-state payroll solution that meets legislative, compliance, and operational requirements. This role is positioned within a programme environment and is critical in ensuring payroll outcomes are accurate, sustainable, and aligned with ACC’s strategic direction. About you | Mōu You will bring: Significant experience leading or contributing to payroll system replacement, payroll transformation, or HRIS implementation programmes in large, complex environments Deep expertise in payroll legislation, tax, employment obligations, and compliance, with proven ability to translate requirements into system and process design Demonstrated experience across payroll data, design decisions, testing (system, integration, UAT), and business readiness within transformation programmes Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, project teams, and vendors in complex, multi-partner environments Proven leadership of cross-functional delivery, including managing competing priorities, risks, and dependencies across programme milestones Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including investigating payroll variances and identifying root causes Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship management skills Demonstrated commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in system and process design Working at ACC | Mō ACC At ACC, we embrace the rich tapestry of Aotearoa New Zealand’s cultures and are dedicated to providing equitable opportunities.
