The stage is set for you to be part of this journey from the very beginning, where your impact will directly influence how we scale and succeed. Your objective is to complete auto electrical maintenance, breakdowns and repairs on site infrastructure & mobile equipment to support maintenance and safe operations. By fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration, the role supports the long-term success of the vehicle fleet availability and overall success of mining operations. Responsibilities Daily equipment and infrastructure maintenance activities of all underground and surface mechanical infrastructure related to the underground operations and ancillary installations excluding the mill. Ensure equipment service and repair records are maintained and are current. Provide input into root case analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability. Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process. Plan and prioritise daily work orders, and ensure schedules are adhered to. Undertake regular auto electrical checks for prevention, according to legislation, Safety standards and procedures. Completion of pre-starts of vehicles and work area inspections. Undertaking additional / alternative responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the Mechanical Supervisor or Superintendent. Participate in safety and environmental verification activities and inspections Attend to break downs, repair and complete required paperwork. About You Relevant Auto electrical trade certificate preferably New Zealand National Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering Level 4 First Aid certificate or willing to obtain Full Manual Drivers Licence with no adverse driving charges Previous experience in mine site operations, operational maintenance, fault finding and repairs Skills and Knowledge Deep and extensive auto electrical understanding Operational maintenance Excellent fault finding and repairs Basic welding and mechanical skills advantageous Problem solving Positive and proactive attitude to safety Personal Attributes Proactive, collaborative, and outcome-focused, with a strong sense of accountability and integrity Able to operate in a high-trust, high-integrity environment, engaging effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and perspectives Positive can-do attitude Basic computer literacy with ability to complete role specific paperwork Be a results focused team player Motivate fellow crew members to achieve safe productivity Commitment to working as part of a team Positive, proactive approach to safety What we offer Competitive remuneration package Accommodation Allowance Work bus from Reefton and Greymouth Healthcare provided for all staff Ongoing training and career development opportunities Supportive and safety-focused workplace culture Employee wellbeing and assistance programs #J-18808-Ljbffr
