Automotive Electrician

Your objective is to complete auto electrical maintenance, breakdowns and repairs on site infrastructure & mobile equipment to support maintenance and safe operations. By fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration, the role supports the long-term success of the vehicle fleet availability and overall success of mining operations. Responsibilities Daily equipment and infrastructure maintenance activities of all underground and surface mechanical infrastructure related to the underground operations and ancillary installations excluding the mill. Ensure equipment service and repair records are maintained and are current. Provide input into root case analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability. Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process. Plan and prioritise daily work orders, and ensure schedules are adhered to. Undertake regular auto electrical checks for prevention, according to legislation, Safety standards and procedures. Completion of pre-starts of vehicles and work area inspections. Undertaking additional / alternative responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the Mechanical Supervisor or Superintendent. Participate in safety and environmental verification activities and inspections Attend to break downs, repair and complete required paperwork.
