Job Description

Our centralised Data Services enterprise function is in the market for a seasoned Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines using industry‑leading tools Snowflake, Fivetran and dbt. You will be building secure, efficient, and high‑performing data workflows while embedding best practices within our Modern Data Platform. This role also involves documenting ETL/ELT processes and continuously improving data engineering standards. As a Senior, you will also mentor junior Data Engineers, embed best practices for peer reviews and documentation, and collaborate closely with analytics, data engineering, and governance teams. You will also drive automation, optimise data assets, and explore emerging technologies to enhance our data management capabilities. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with a strong background in designing and building modern data pipelines, leveraging cutting‑edge technologies to deliver impactful solutions. You should ideally thrive in an agile environment and have a proven ability to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and information management across complex organisations. Key Must‑Haves Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Extensive experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in modern data technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, and Fivetran. Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and experience building relational data models. Proficiency in data pipeline orchestration tools and a track record of optimizing processes to align with business goals.
