Heavy Machine Operator

About the role Please note: You must be a NZ/AU Citizen or NZ Resident to be successful. We’re actively seeking experienced Excavator, Dozer, Bobcat, and Telehandler Operators for upcoming work on a major civil site works and site preparation project in Taupō. This is a long-term project with 12 months of work ahead, involving trenching, drainage, material movement, and detailed machine operation around existing infrastructure. Duties Operate excavators, dozers, bobcats, and telehandlers Complete trenching and drainage works Move materials safely around site Work around existing structures and services Conduct daily machine checks and maintenance Skills & Experience Proven civil operating experience WTR endorsements (Required) Confident on small to mid-sized machinery Strong trenching and drainage experience Ability to work safely around live services Valid Site Safe (Required) Culture People enjoy working on this project because it’s a well‑organised site with a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.
