Overview Ngāi Tahu Tourism is currently recruiting for our Placement Programme for Ngāi Tahu Maori School Leavers. This programme is designed for Ngāi Tahu whānui (rangatahi and pakeke) who are looking to build their confidence, gain real‑world experience, and explore a pathway into the tourism and hospitality industry. Placements are available in locations including: Takapō / Tekapo Tāhuna / Queenstown Waiau / Franz Josef Te Anau Fiordland Rotorua Taupō Auckland What’s on offer Paid at Living Wage Minimum 32 hours per week Hands‑on experience across guest experience, operations, retail, and guiding support Applications close: 5pm, 1 August 2026 We’re looking for applicants who Are Year 13+ or have finished school Are ready for a full‑time, hands‑on work experience Are keen to learn, contribute, and be part of a team We know many of your students are exploring pathways into tourism, and this programme is a great way to Gain real industry experience Build confidence and skills Understand how tourism businesses actually operate day‑to‑day #J-18808-Ljbffr
