Wellington based | Full-time | Permanent 4.4 Weeks Annual Leave | Wellness allowance after 12 months Midpoint of band $116,415, dependent on experience Ko tōu ake mahi - What you’ll do Step into a Senior Policy Analyst – Maternity, Child and Family Policy role where your work directly shapes better outcomes for women, tamariki and whānau. You’ll lead complex, high‑profile policy across priority health areas—bringing strong analysis, practical thinking, and system‑wide influence to the table. This is a chance to work at the intersection of policy, clinical insight and system performance, while championing equity and Te Tiriti commitments. Key responsibilities Lead complex, high‑impact policy development aligned to Government priorities and Pae Ora outcomes Deliver robust, clear advice (briefings, Cabinet papers, recommendations) backed by strong analysis Assess evidence, risks and opportunities to shape practical, implementable policy options Lead projects and collaborate across the Ministry and sector to deliver joined‑up solutions Build capability and quality through peer review, mentoring, and continuous improvement Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you’ll bring Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in public policy, health, or a related field Proven experience developing policy advice on moderately complex or sensitive issues Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to assess options and provide practical recommendations Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence and collaborate effectively Strong planning, judgment and delivery skills, with the ability to manage priorities and coach others Ngā hua o tō mātou whare - What we bring Discover a world of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
