You’ll lead complex, high‑profile policy across priority health areas—bringing strong analysis, practical thinking, and system‑wide influence to the table. Key responsibilities Lead complex, high‑impact policy development aligned to Government priorities and Pae Ora outcomes Deliver robust, clear advice (briefings, Cabinet papers, recommendations) backed by strong analysis Assess evidence, risks and opportunities to shape practical, implementable policy options Lead projects and collaborate across the Ministry and sector to deliver joined‑up solutions Build capability and quality through peer review, mentoring, and continuous improvement Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you’ll bring Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in public policy, health, or a related field Proven experience developing policy advice on moderately complex or sensitive issues Strong analytical thinking, with the ability to assess options and provide practical recommendations Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence and collaborate effectively Strong planning, judgment and delivery skills, with the ability to manage priorities and coach others Ngā hua o tō mātou whare - What we bring Discover a world of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
