# Staff Mit at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral, Manawatu / Whanganui## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role**Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) Position****Palmerston North Hospital****Permanent – Full time**Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.**About the Role**We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Imaging Technologist for a permanent full-time position within Medical Imaging, Palmerston North Hospital. The position includes rotation through all shifts and provides coverage for General X-Ray, Theatre, ED, and Mobiles. Interventional Radiology and / or CT experience would be an asset. Site specific orientation will be provided as required.You will be joining a team of around 60 MIT's: including MRI, CT, General, NM and Sonographers.**Some of your responsibilities*** Conducting all patient examinations to a high standard* Maintaining accurate patient data and ensuring all administrative processes are complete including paperwork for all exams.* Practicing procedures in an ethical and professional manner, ensuring health and safety regulations are met* Providing supervision for MIT students (as required).We are a teaching hospital, offering a very supportive learning environment, encouraging professional development and education.**About you**To be successful in this role, you will apply your knowledge and professionalism to maintain clinical excellence and outstanding patient care.
