Cook / Catering Assistant – Woolworths PNRDC, Palmerston North Permanent – 29 hours per week. Monday & Tuesday: 1:30pm – 8:30pm Saturday & Sunday: 5:30am – 1:00pm Cater Plus partners with Woolworths to deliver high quality food services in a fast paced retail environment. We are currently looking for a Cook / Experienced Catering Assistant to join our kitchen team at Woolworths PNDC. Based at a Woolworths Palmerston North, this role is sole charge and involves supporting daily food preparation and cooking requirements while maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards. This is a permanent role with a consistent roster, ideal for someone who enjoys structured hours and working in a commercial kitchen setting. Key responsibilities Assisting with cooking and food preparation to Woolworths standards Supporting daily production requirements in a commercial kitchen Preparing, handling, and storing food safely Plating, packing, and presenting food to specification Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment Completing dishes and general kitchen duties Following all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures Qualifications Previous experience as a Cook or experienced Catering Assistant Comfortable working in a fast paced commercial kitchen environment Practical understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements Reliable, organised, and able to work set rosters Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team Take pride in producing consistent, high quality food Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, or otherwise eligible to work in New Zealand.
