The Role There are two roles available – one managing inbound, and one managing outbound. Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, you will lead the inbound/outbound operations of the Drury DC, managing a team of 18 to 20 operators and two supervisors. This is a hands‑on, execution-focused leadership role accountable for the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of inbound stock, daily output against KPIs, and continuous improvement across your team. You will be on the floor with your people, setting the standard and lifting performance day in, day out. Key Responsibilities Lead the daily inbound or outbound operation, allocating tasks to deliver against output and KPIs Drive a safety-first culture, upholding HSE standards and incident processes Coach, support, and develop operators, holding the team to clear performance standards Maintain inbound/outbound accuracy, stock movement, and inventory integrity on receipt Monitor productivity, address issues, and lead continuous improvement initiatives Develop and manage rosters and staffing to ensure efficient use of resources Maintain housekeeping, equipment, and preventive maintenance standards across the DC Support the recruitment, induction, and training of new team members Key Skills & Experience Required Proven distribution centre or operational experience at team leader/manager level, ideally five years or more Demonstrated people leadership with a genuinely hands‑on, coaching style The ability to hold a team to account while supporting people to grow Experience with WMS and scanner technology, plus MS Office A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and operational performance Experience in larger teams or complex, high‑volume environments is advantageous A relevant warehousing qualification is preferred but not essential About You You are a practical, people-first operational leader who leads from the floor.
