Job Description
We’re looking for a Motion Designer to join the Design team at TBWA. The role TBWA New Zealand is looking for an Intermediate Motion Designer to join our Auckland-based team in a full-time permanent role. This role suits someone with 3+ years’ professional experience and a high level of craft in 2D motion design. It is a 2D motion-first role, but strong editing ability is highly valued. As a Motion Designer, you’ll work across a broad range of outputs including campaign films, social content, TVCs, case studies, pitch films, internal presentations, event content, and DOOH. You’ll collaborate closely with producers, creatives, designers, and account management to help bring ideas to life, with a strong focus on execution, detail, and craft. What will you bring? With at least 3 years of experience as a 2D Motion Designer, you’ll have strong 2D motion design skills, extensive editing ability, excellent design sensibility, attention to detail, and confidence in After Effects and Premiere Pro. Working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop is also important. Experience with Cinema 4D and Redshift is a bonus, but not essential. We’re open to shaping the role around the strengths of the right candidate, and we’ll support training and upskilling in editing, 3D, and AI‑assisted workflows where needed.
