Fitter/ Welder - Relocate to New Zealand

Location: Various sites across New Zealand, including Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, Queenstown, and regional areas Start Date: Get in touch today to plan your move for 2026/2027 What you'll be doing: Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable materials, methods, and sequences of operation Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling machinery and equipment Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance, and fit using precision measuring instruments Machining metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using a variety of tools and equipment Cutting, threading, bending, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines Diagnosing faults and carrying out maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on mechanical equipment Fabricating, cutting, shaping, and bending metal sections and components Performing repairs to metal products and structures using various welding techniques Joining metal sections using welding, bolting, and riveting methods Inspecting and assessing weld quality, penetration, and precision What we're looking for: Minimum 3 years' experience as a Fitter/Welder Trade qualification preferred, although extensive relevant experience may be considered Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Own tools preferred Reliable transport At least two recent work references Strong commitment to Health & Safety Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test Long-term relocation or Working Holiday options: Long-term roles for skilled Fitter/Welders wanting to relocate and build a future in New Zealand Working Holiday Visa opportunities for those wanting to work, travel, and explore the country Visa and immigration support from Tradestaff's team of Licensed Immigration Advisers Flexible placements nationwide based on your goals and lifestyle Full support before you arrive and once you're working in New Zealand #J-18808-Ljbffr
