About the Role The New Zealand Venue Co. family is looking for multiple talented and experienced Duty Managers to join our team and work across our renowned Auckland venues. We are looking for someone who possesses a friendly personality, good communication skills, ability to thrive under pressure, strong multi‑tasking skills, and a passion for the hospitality industry. Responsibilities Assist in day‑to‑day operations of the venue, working collaboratively with the venue manager and providing support to staff and management team. Collaborate with the Venue Management team to generate ideas for effective marketing campaigns. Ensure events, promotions, activations and marketing initiatives promote a positive customer experience. Foster positive customer relationships to drive sales and actively seek and follow through with function and marketing opportunities. Manage team members on shift and provide effective feedback. Manage and address all issues quickly, effectively and in line with company processes. Lead the team by example and promote a culture of respect and inclusivity. Ensure compliance with OH&S legislation, policies and procedures. Handle basic financials including cash up, labour control, end‑of‑day (EOD) and end‑of‑week (EOW) reporting. Assist in recruitment and training of new team members. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of relevant restaurant and bar experience. Flexible availability to work rostered shifts as the venues operate Monday to Sunday. Passionate commitment to a successful career in the hospitality industry. Friendly, enthusiastic, can‑do attitude. Capacity to work in a team environment while leading from the front. Exceptional customer service and presentation skills.
