Kaiwhakatau Hauora (Medical Receptionist/Administrator) Te Ara Tū Medical Services – Ngāti Hine Health Trust (NHHT) Locations: Kawakawa & Moerewa Ngāti Hine Health Trust is seeking an energetic, professional, and people-focused individual to join our medical services team as a Kaiwhakatau Hauora (Medical Receptionist/Administrator). About the Role As the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and culturally safe experience for all who walk through our doors. You will: Greet and support whānau in a warm and culturally appropriate manner Coordinate clinic services and appointments efficiently Manage patient flow and expectations in a busy environment Provide high-quality administrative support to our clinical team Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality at all times This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two days are the same. About You Whānau are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for someone who is whānau-centred and passionate about delivering excellent service. You will ideally have: Experience in a busy, customer-focused environment (health sector preferred but not essential) Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft programmes Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional organisation and time management skillsAbility to prioritise, multitask, and work under pressure A proactive mindset with initiative and problem-solving capability (including basic IT troubleshooting) Desirable Experience with Medtech Evolution Practice Management System You Will Also Demonstrate Commitment to Te Reo Māori me ngā Tikanga Māori Cultural awareness and sensitivity Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to hauora Māori Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information Positive attitude, resilience, and a good sense of humour Key Requirements Full, clean New Zealand Driver Licence Must be legally able to work in New Zealand About Our Organisation (NHHT) Ngāti Hine Health Trust is a Kaupapa Māori organisation grounded in Ngāti Hine tikanga and kawa (Te Tū o Ngāti Hine).
