BDO Gisborne is looking for a capable and client-focused Office Administrator to join our Māori Business Unit. This is a varied role where you’ll provide administrative and client support to the team, help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues. You’ll be joining a firm that values people, relationships, and exceptional client service, with deep roots in the local community. What You’ll Do Provide administrative support to the Māori Business Unit and the wider firm as needed Support the Executive Assistant in coordinating and delivering high-quality EA services to Māori Business Unit Partners Be a first point of contact for clients and shareholder enquiries Assist with wages, monthly payments, and other accounting administration Prepare client correspondence and documents for signing Coordinate meetings, room bookings, and catering Process fees and maintain filing and archiving systems Liaise with clients to gather information and respond to requests promptly Support the team to achieve shared goals and deliver excellent service What you’ll bring At least three years’ experience in an administration or account’s role Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Confidence using Microsoft Office; experience with Xero and payroll software is an advantage Basic knowledge of PAYE, GST, and accounts processes A professional, reliable, and team-focused approach Strong relationship-building and client service skills Knowledge of Māori business would be beneficial Why BDO Gisborne?
