Export Air Operator

Job Description Keep international shipments moving. You’ll be the vital link between customers, airlines, and our warehouse—ensuring every export takes off smoothly, on time, and without a hitch. In this role, you’ll manage and coordinate air export shipments while making sure all documentation is accurate, complete, and fully compliant with international regulations. What You’ll Do Bookings & Coordination You’ll handle bookings via phone and email, secure the right airspace with airlines, and coordinate closely with our Transport and Warehouse teams. Your job is to make sure every pickup is scheduled and every cargo load is ready to roll exactly when it needs to be. Documentation & Admin You’ll prepare all export documentation with precision, handle invoicing and filing after each flight, and create monthly console schedules. Accuracy is key because even small errors can have big consequences in airfreight. Customer Service You’ll be the main point of contact for our clients, responding to enquiries quickly, solving issues efficiently, and building lasting professional relationships. Your ability to communicate clearly and stay calm under pressure will keep customers trusting us for their airfreight needs. Safety & Compliance You’ll follow all health and safety procedures, report any incidents accurately, and complete essential training in areas such as Dangerous Goods, Customs, Security, and Load & Restraint. Your commitment to safety keeps our operations running smoothly and protects everyone involved. Qualifications 3+ years proven experience in export operations, air freight, or international logistics Comprehensive knowledge of export documentation requirements and customs regulations Proficiency with logistics management systems and cargo tracking software Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry Problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work independently and as part of a team Familiarity with New Zealand export procedures and international trade compliance Knowledge of air freight operations and industry best practices Preferred: Experience with CargoWise freight system Equal Opportunity Employer We believe our people are our greatest strength – and the diversity of our team is central to how we grow and succeed.
