Job Description We are looking for 2 reliable and motivated people to join our team at Lumino Oamaru as Dental Assistant/Receptionists. These are varied roles where your primary focus will be supporting our clinicians chairside, while also assisting on reception when needed. Here at Lumino Oamaru, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality dental care to the wider community and ensuring our patients leave smiling. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our experienced clinicians during a range of dental procedures. You will also be responsible for instrument sterilisation, infection control, and stock management. Working alongside an experienced team will provide you with valuable insight into the dental industry and a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow within the role. When supporting the reception team, you will be the face and voice of the practice. Your day may include assisting patients with enquiries, booking and confirming appointments, processing payments, completing banking tasks, and supporting with general administrative duties. No two days are the same, making this a rewarding and engaging role. Hours for the role: Tuesday: 8:30am – 5:30pm This is a fixed-term position until 18 December 2026. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will bring: Previous Dental Assistant experience is preferred, although we are willing to fully train the right people. Ideally, sterilisation and/or customer service experience. A warm, positive attitude and a team-oriented approach. Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail. Confidence using computers and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
