Responsibilities Assisting with personal cares (showering, bathing) Assisting with household management and meal preparation Assisting with accessing the community Bowel, Bladder, and Catheter cares Medication support Moving and handling hoists and manual transfers Job Location: Invercargill, Southland Employment Type: Part-Time We offer a range of employment opportunities including casual, part-time, and full-time positions, which will be discussed further during the recruitment process. Days of Work: As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including AM, PM, and weekend work. Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process. The duration of these hours may vary, ranging from shorter to longer periods, depending on the specific needs of the people we support. There are many responsibilities associated with being a support worker which can be challenging and fulfilling. Candidate Pre-Requisites Ideally prior personal care experience is preferred, but it is not essential Experience working with children (this may be in education, as a nanny, or in other environments) A Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial and those looking to enter the healthcare sector will also be considered (comprehensive training can be provided) Flexibility and reliability to work on a rotating roster Access to a reliable car and ability to drive independently (a full New Zealand Driver's License is a must) Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must Benefits | Ki te huanga Pay Band: $24.13 - $30.78 per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017 – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity).
