Job Description
Join our Construction Management team in Hawke’s Bay and help deliver infrastructure projects that make a lasting difference to local communities. As a Senior Construction Manager, you will provide procurement, contract and construction management services across a diverse range of civil infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with clients, contractors and project teams, taking ownership of project delivery while providing technical leadership, commercial oversight and mentoring to others across the business. What you'll do Act as Engineer’s Representative and/or Engineer’s Representative Assistant during the construction phase of projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and industry standards. Prepare procurement and contract documentation, evaluate tenders and provide recommendations for contractor engagement. Manage project controls including programme, communications, risk, variations, change management, cashflow and budget tracking. Undertake investigations, inspections, engineering analysis and documentation to support successful project outcomes. Monitor and report on project performance, including financial, quality, risk and programme metrics. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and other key stakeholders. Support business development activities, identify opportunities and contribute to proposals, fee estimates and offers of service. Mentor and support colleagues while promoting best-practice contract and construction management across project teams. About you Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline. Ideally 8+ years’ experience in contract and construction management within civil infrastructure environments. Experience acting as Engineer’s Representative and/or Contractor’s Representative on construction projects. Strong knowledge of NZS391X and contract administration principles. Proven ability to manage project controls including scheduling, risk management, variations, budgets and cashflow. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports. A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and project stakeholders. Current clean New Zealand Driver Licence. #J-18808-Ljbffr
