We’re looking for a commercially astute and relationship-driven Key Account Manager to join our New Zealand Commercial team. Reporting to the Head of Woolworths and Mass Merchants, you’ll be responsible for growing, developing and maintaining some of our key retail partnerships. This is a highly visible role that plays a critical part in delivering our strategic growth ambitions through strong account management, joint business planning, commercial negotiations and customer collaboration. Working across a portfolio of important retail customers, you’ll lead pricing and promotional strategies, forecasting, contract negotiations, and annual business planning. You’ll partner closely with both customers and internal stakeholders to deliver profitable growth while ensuring a best-in-class execution experience in-store. Key Responsibilities Include Developing and executing customer account plans and Joint Business Plans (JBPs) Managing pricing, promotional activity, forecasting and stock performance Building strong relationships with buyers and senior customer stakeholders Leading commercial negotiations and contract renewals Delivering insightful monthly and quarterly business reviews Collaborating with Sales, Category, Revenue Growth Management, Marketing, Shopper and Supply Chain teams to achieve shared goals Driving execution excellence through close partnership with field sales teams and customers About you | Nō hea koe You are an experienced Account Manager or Junior Key Account Manager who thrives in a fast-paced commercial environment and enjoys building strong partnerships that create mutual value. You’ll Bring Experience managing retail or grocery customer accounts Strong commercial acumen, including forecasting, planning and P&L management Excellent communication and presentation skills Proven ability to build trusted relationships with buyers and key stakeholders Strong negotiation and influencing capability A proactive, curious and solutions-focused mindset High levels of organisation and attention to detail The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams Experience presenting business reviews, insights and recommendations to customers A passion for delivering growth and bringing innovative ideas to market If you’re not an expert in all these areas, don’t worry!
