About the Location Our department consists of Physicians in General Medicine with a wide variety of sub‑speciality interests from Cardiology, Endocrinology to Infectious Diseases, as well as an outpatient team, specialist nurses, and visiting sub‑specialists. We are accredited by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for Basic and Advanced Trainees. Lakes is located in the central North Island of New Zealand. Rotorua is located approximately 230 kilometres southeast of Auckland, while Taupō is located approximately 80 kilometres south of Rotorua. Lakes is a geothermal wonderland and is also home to several scenic lakes, including Lake Taupō, the largest lake in NewZealand. About You MCNZ registration, or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Minimum two years post‑qualification experience. Keen interest in providing acute and general medical care to our community.
