Learner Support Teacher

We seek an energetic and collaborative learner support teacher to join our learner support faculty. This role combines learner support with teaching and is suitable for a primary trained teacher. The ideal candidate will bring: Relationships — the ability to build genuine, effective connections with ākonga, whānau, and kaiako Learning support expertise — experience accelerating low-level learners through targeted small-group and one‑on‑one delivery Curriculum and literacy skills — ability to construct and implement literacy and numeracy programmes tailored to individual needs Collaboration — willingness to support subject teachers, the SENCO, and learning support coordinators, and to work as part of a team Mentorship — a genuine commitment to mentoring students with additional behavioural needs, supporting their hauora and engagement alongside their learning Please include your specialist subject in your application. We are also planning on establishing a rumaki/bilingual class in 2027/2028, speakers of Te Reo Māori an advantage.
