Job Description
About the Role We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst who brings a strong blend of business/process analysis and technical systems analysis. This role sits at the heart of our delivery function, partnering with stakeholders, engineers, and delivery teams to drive meaningful business outcomes and continuous improvement across our auto business. Reporting to the Delivery Manager and based out of our new central Auckland offices, this role will shape solutions, improve workflows, support operational change, and ensure requirements are clearly defined and understood from concept through to delivery. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Gather, analyse, and document business, process, and technical requirements. Create customer journeys, process maps, use cases, business rules, and functional specifications. Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders to define and validate requirements. Bridge communication between business stakeholders, delivery teams, and engineers. Investigate operational issues, defects, and change requests, including SQL and system analysis. Support root cause analysis and coordinate issue resolution across teams. Assess business impacts, dependencies, risks, and implementation considerations. Drive governance, documentation quality, traceability, and prioritisation practices. Qualifications and Experience Previous technical and business process BA experience in the financial services or insurance sector is preferred. Proven experience in technical system analysis, supporting business requests, and defining process improvements. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, building effective relationships across cross‑functional teams. Strong documentation skills, ensuring clear, concise, and audience‑appropriate deliverables (experience with tools like Miro/Ludic/Visio). Demonstrated ability to analyse and document complex requirements, reconcile conflicts, and facilitate alignment between business and technical stakeholders. Experience working within project and changing environments, ideally in global or regional delivery settings with exposure to managing concurrent workstreams. Familiarity with technical data‑driven systems (e.g., event‑driven services, API endpoints, cloud/web services, SQL and JSON/XML) and the ability to bridge business and technical requirements effectively.
