Senior Planner

Responsibilities Apply technical knowledge across planning and consenting work streams Oversee environmental compliance and consenting maintenance activities across the State Highway network Assess third party applications, including through FTAA processes Respond to and consent emergency works Assist principal planners with Roads of National Significance FTAA approvals Build relationships with key local stakeholders for land use decisions Represent NZTA at hearings and community meetings and provide advice for decision making Qualifications Demonstrated experience in Resource Management Act (RMA) regulatory process Understanding of other relevant statutes including Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga Act, Wildlife Act and Conservation Act Drafting submissions and evidence and presenting evidence at hearings Experience working with internal and external stakeholders including community consultation and engagement Understanding of the transport sector is desirable Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise competing tasks Full Membership (or working towards) of NZPI Knowledge of Te Ao Māori and willingness to promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori Knowledge of te Tiriti o Waitangi (Treaty of Waitangi) #J-18808-Ljbffr
