Registered Nurse – High Dependency Unit (HDU) – Wairau Hospital Blenheim About the Role As a Registered Nurse working in HDU you will apply your clinical nursing experience to provide interventions that require substantial scientific and professional knowledge, skills, and clinical decision making. This is a permanent, full-time or part-time role, with rostered and rotating shifts across Monday to Sunday – mornings, afternoons, and nights. Shifts can be worked as 8 or 12 hour durations. Responsibilities Be someone with at least 2 years experience in critical care, either in Intensive Care, High Dependency care, Coronary care or Emergency Nursing. Be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and have at least two years of post-registration critical care nursing experience. Enjoy the variety and challenge of a rapidly changing environment. Be a team player who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice. Have excellent organisational and time management skills as well as a commitment to quality. Qualifications Consideration will be given to nurses with a background in medical or surgical nursing who can demonstrate the ability to become competent in critical care. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
